A few members have requested Portamig information recently & I have been quoting 10-14 days build time. Just to let you know I have one of each, a 181 & a 211 available for immediate delivery.

hi sparky delivery will cost you a fortune from the UK and there is nothing weldequip
can do about that I know a few welding supplies store that are pretty good as your choice of machines in most Co-op stores is pretty dismal and they also have a good supply of rods and not just your electro-weld crap

Hi Scarecrow,what im looking for is a quality mig and ive done a lot of reserch and the 211 build looks good.Ive got used to paying courier companies over the years.I could buy a cheaper one here.Like the idea of independent companies as well,not many left,so they get my support.Thanks for the advise though,this is a good site.Will get back on transport cost in case others want to get one.

I wouldn't count on getting a cheaper one here weldequip seems to do pretty good value
I would be grateful if you let me know the transport cost
I was looking at a Parweld helmet in a local electrical shop today and it was €150 weldequip does them for around £50

Carriage would be at cost price but is pricey over the water on heavy items.
Maybe it's because you still don't have post codes in Ireland & the drivers keep getting lost

Want to buy a Portamig

Mr Weldequip,

I am a novice welder, I have an old stick welder that is seldom used, but have been looking to buy a Mig for a while now. (Pending projects)
I have been reading good reports about the Portamig range (185, 211,255), the new Portamig will be used for car body work, trailers, rotiron work and an odd H beam.

Can you please forward the full spec, and price of the three mentioned above, price to include, spare tips / shroud / etc, and shipping to Scotland Aberdeen.

(Waiting time is not an issue.)

How many holes does it take to fill Blackburn Lancashire?Beatles,i think,good place for a welding shop then!Weldequip.Pony n cart,if only the public transport here was that good.At least it only a 3mile walk to the post office.Hows the hound doin,we loose loads of animals here to people drivin to fast down the country tracks,still silly season is almost over,now gettin ready for winter storms and eternal rain.Log fire and a bottle of The black stuff!

Sofar he seems to be doing okay he's on antibiotics and painkillers for a week until the wounds heal up and then they will put a cast on he was lucky in that there doesn't seem to be any of the joints broken
I haven't found out who did it yet. The only reason he would stray off like that would be girlfriend problems. He has got lost a few times while he was working and all he did was go to the nearest house and lie down at the door as if he was at home

tedloon what size fuse do you have the machine running on, a burned out mains lead sounds like a short out and its drawing to much power
