I friend of mine had something similar is his workshop and it seemed ideal for those little jobs where you don’t want to be back and forth to the bench.
Basically it’s two RSJ offcuts welded in a T shape. There is enough weight and stability but it can be picked up and moved around. Plenty of surfaces to work on too. I bought the 1 ton Record when they were cheap in B&Q a couple of years back. I didn’t even bother to square the bits where it was cut at 45 because it may be useful and would have taken longer
