i got one for my birthday recently, only time i thought i was going to get to use it , turned out the engine was siezed.... but i was impressed how well the jump pack turned the starter to smoke.......

I posted earlier in the thread about having a noco gb70 which was decent. Update is I've now flogged the gb70 on eBay and got enough to buy a gooloo gt4000 for myself and a gt3000 for the wife's car! Both seem well built, can't tell a difference between them and the noco but the performance is far far far superior. I can't emphasise how much better they are. I appreciate the gt4000 is twice the capacity but it outperforms the noco 5 fold at least!
My real world experience; my VW T5 had a battery draining issue, would drain overnight so needed a boost every morning. I used the gt3000 once just to see and it spun the engine twice as fast as the noco, just a few turns and it fired up and used 4% of the battery. As for the gt4000 it's faster still, and started the van every day for three weeks! I was seeing how long it lasts and the last time it started it with 2% battery! The noco just has 4 lights for indicating charge, red orange yellow green I think, no % indicator so can't say for sure, but after 2 starts it went from green to yellow and would struggle on the third day! If it was a bit colder it wouldn't do it! I'm blown away with the gooloo, I really am!
Other 4000a units possibly will be the same unit with a different name and case, seems to be the way with Chinese stuff on ebay?
In conclusion I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the gt4000 to anyone!

I was seeing how long it lasts and the last time it started it with 2% battery!

I wouldnt recommend starting anything with these under 30-50%, it will put much greater stress on the battery and may kill it in short time.

I think they are as good as it gets in that price range, mine gets used a few times a week on the parked up plant and I haven't come across anything 12v it wont spin over.

I've just used my Clarke Jump Start on next doors Toyota Auris. He's been in hospital and the battery was dead flat wouldn't even make the starter click. It fired straight away and I told him to give it a run before he stops to do the shopping.

Struggling for Chrimbo pressies for my lad. After something decent, proven and most of all that will hold it's charge until you need it.

Noco as a brand name is very well respected. I know a couple of garages who use these, plus their trickle chargers.
Had one of these for 18 months and highly recommend it.

@angellonewolf would you mind trying the DC output? It comes with a cigarete socket adaptor. Mine cuts out if I try anything in the socket. I have to charge the starter to reset it. One of the reasons I got this one was the dc output. You can use the starter for DC but only lasts 30 seconds. I...

Gooloo are excellent. I have the GP4000.
Came 3rd in this very detailed test. Only just dropped into 3rd place. Based on price it was the best vfm. The model in 2nd place isn't available in the UK. I haven't used it in amger yet but makes a great powerpack for charging phones and laptops etc.

Whats wrong with handkerchiefs, socks, and satsumas ?

Got a Noco GX70. Very impressed with it, and it starts tractors multiple times on one charge.

BiL has a Gooloo GP4000, but he has broken the case after a couple of months, but to be fair, he would break an anvil given the chance.
