Where did you buy the dairy tube wmj ?

I rang a few suppliers yesterday.got a mixture of replies.expensive,we dont cut,non weldable in stock,have to order that in etc.nice lady then gave me number of local fab shop.sound fella there said come down and pick out what you want.€20

its priceless really

there is another steel suppliers local to me,Miko Metals.they used to have 3 or 4 bins of offcuts,bits of stainless and aluminium,sheet,flat bar,round,tube,bits of brass,perspex....went in there every week and always picked up something.due to the hoards of eastern europeans arriving just before closing time and giving grief over prices i.e. wanting it for free,they had to get rid of the service.a lot of genuine people used to go there

the situation must have been bad for them to end it.would have been a nice earner

The problem is members of the transit driving scrap metal community from rathkeale would have got wind that there was easy pickings and milked it.

i tigged up a little system for holding pipe at 2g,5g and 6g tonight.mild steel with a couple of nuts and bolts.used 316 filler and didnt have one issue,even on unclean steel.
