i have heard of this stuff, but i want to know how good it is,anyone know?,and who supplies it?is it like waxoyl??,do you have to recoat the treated areas every year?
i though you could apply it to rust, and it stops rust and protects it,i want something good to totally protect the underside of my car when ive welded it up.
Pics aren't great, but I've done the whole of the underneath of my Kombi in black POR15, after hearing good stuff about it on my club forum. You can see it was pretty cruddy before, mainly surface rust, which I cleaned up with a wire brush on my grinder, before painting. The stuff isn't UV proof I think, but it isn't supposed to stop it working, just fades it.
Buy cheap brushes and chuck them when you've finished, don't even bother trying to clean them. And cover up as much a possible, if it gets on you and dries it's there for weeks...
I'm going to do all the cavaties with something like waxoyl, not looked into it yet.
i looked at the pictures of your bus on either a forum or your website, and after seeing what youd done with the por 15 i thought id ask the question.
your bus looks very smart!!
