Polyurethane removal

Thought I might ask the paint department about this: Just started stripping my old Espace for a repaint. It is polyurethane over injection moulded plastic panels. The clearcoat is quite tough (apart from where the sun got it) Is there any other method than sanding to get it off? I hesitate to use chemical stripper because of the plastic panels.

media blasting ? whats wrong with a good sanding with 180?

I tried some POR-strip a while back on some plastic grilles and rubber spoilers. It seemed to blister the paint fine and didn't seem to eat the rubber or the plastic. I never got further than a test area though, but it may be worth a try.
