Just a heads up really as I know a number of you guys use the stuff.
For many years, I've used the upol product and it's great, does exactly what it's designed to do. However. I was doing some work on a black Capri bonnet and hadn't realised that the tin of reface that I thought I was going to use was in fact virtually empty. Hasty call to local supplier. Unfortunately they had none in stock but had recently taken a delivery of Slick Sand from Evercoat. (No I can't say I'd heard of it either) I'm usually reluctant to change the winning formula but sometimes there's no option. Well shot a coat on last night and left it cooking at 20 for an hour. It seemed thinner than the competitor but it was going on really smoothly and no sign of sagging even though I tried quite hard. This morning I guide coated it and started to block it 180, fully expecting the normal clogging and endless new strips. Well the upshot is I used 1 strip for the whole bonnet, no clogging and no hard work. It takes quite a bit to impress me. Try it one time that's all I'm saying.
