polyester basecoat

It was brought to my attention today that express no longer supply polyester basecoat (2k basecoat) !!
Now only available in waterbased. Has there been some sort of law passed that I didn't know of? Should I rush out and buy a scheme?

Express have recently supplied me with some. Perhaps I had better check what they sent.

Me too but for those who rely on on-line supplies, the future doesn't look too good.

I think there will always be someone to supply it no questions ask, after all how can it be policed

my supplier doesn't do celly any more except by special order for pre 70s cars I believe, but not too many would want to buy celly anyway.

There are still some around that think its marvelous

I know one or two. I only have to look at the work they put out. Theres a lot of dodgy refinish shops using it on FX4s as well I notice. I get that 'sinking' feeling when I see them.

i think the cellulose/polyester paint law is a lot like the common incandescent light bulb law, which hasn't disappeared yet.

Yeh recently tried ordering from them and said they cannot supply me...

Due to the EU regulations we can only sell solvent basecoat for classic cars and motorbikes.
