Hi all, need to get this of my mind.........
just want a few ideas for a new workshop floor.........it'll be not less than15m x 15m and a bit more if she's not looking when I put the pins in.....hahaha.......
the floor will be layed proff and the finish will be with a helicopter or whatever it's called giving me the polished finish I want.........
BUT now's the problem.......
there will be a lot of car + motorcycle traffic, driveway will be gravel..........
originally I'd intended to use a 2 pack paint system for the floor but at £50'ish a gallon thats out...primer sealer and two covering coats....prob cost more than the concrete it'self........
having tried quality but normal floor paints for years I'm not gonna bother with that either.......
so, I want a smooth, very hardwearing finish that is as best poss oil proof.....not much then...!!!!!!!...
so was wondering if in the last 50-100mm of floor use Granit chippings (3-5mm) in the mix giving me a hard wearing floor but with the addition of a water proofing agent to help seal it.......
apart from general easy sweeping I'll be wanting to mop the floors due to oil drips and the general mess in a machine shop........
I only want to do this once, the next time the machines will be moved my **** will be in a box.....hahaha....
what do ya think ???? any better idea's ???........
thanks for looking........Frank
