Don't let the news coverage put you off, in the late 80's we spent many happy weeks on holiday in Ireland and never met a person who I would not share a drink with despite many friends predicting doom at the hands of the Nationalists, in reality I had more bother in Neasden.

PS. try to get up the the RAF museum in Hendon when you come over, it is only 30mins from central London on the tube.

Everyone in Ireland had relations in the UK, or had worked over there at some stage themselves, it was only a handful of the usual head-bangers that caused the trouble.

I have a friend who spends half his life in RAF museums in the UK, aviation mad he is. What i would really like to see is the Tank museum in Bovingdon, the Tiger and first world war tanks and all that.

when u do catch em the magistrate just let's em off, think they need putting straight in the army......

Tell me about it, when they found out that I had lived in Neasden they all wanted to know if Biddy Mulligans and the National in Kilburn High Road were still so good, two places I always avoided.
I want to go the Bovingdon but so far have not got around to it we keep intending to have a long weekend on the Jurassic coast and call in for an afternoon on the way.

Hendon is awesome - or was - they have had a big facelift - just hope it hasn't gone the way other museums have. Greenwich martime museum was awful - hardly any boats and no reference to WW2 - as a kid I remember bofors and all sorts - PC gone mad.

Yes I would love a visit to Bovington as well. Looks awesome and no political correctness!

Having been in this situation a good few years ago ,ie stolen MC then I can say it gives you that FEEL GOOD feeling when you reposes it with your car & then proceed to terrorise to little scrote some months after

Now there is some sort of comeback for them I imagine we will see a downturn in moped gangs. It’s just making the crime not worth the consequences. Like the riots in London of a few years ago. If they’d emptied a few baton rounds into the first line then it would’ve been over in an hour. Looting a shop for a new tv isn’t as tantalising when there’s a good chance of a rubber bullet to the head
