plywood primer

Iv got some 6 mm plywood that i need to prime then paint, both sides will need priming

what do you guys recommend to prime it with? iv googled it and saw something called zinnotrol BIN but thats £40odd quid im not willing to spend

I would use wood primer, followed by undercoat, then gloss paint.

Is it for outdoors or in? I have something outdoors made of plywood, and the best thing I found for that was yacht varnish. Varnish can look good even if it is for wood indoors.

indoors only, Im very tempted to get my mate to print off some vinyl for me and wrap it in that but i still think itd need the undercoat or alot of sanding!

There are lots of materials that will not need any preparation at all if being used indoors. Of course, I don`t know your application/use.

depending on what top coat but if just standard houshold gloss then any dencent wood primer will be ok
