Welderpaul is right in that nothing compares to oxy acet, but there are certainly enough places where a flame just isn't possible.
Induction heater then I reckon...

both very realistic for the small home hobbyists...

the closest i can get to heat is a small hand held propane torch...it does the job on smaller stuff up to M16-M18 but after that it just hasnt got the heat so i usually just split the nut and replace as needed.

bought a tin of plus gas today so should be here within a day or 2 and have a few jobs to sort out on the fathers jag again so will give it a go

cant say i have ever noticed it in there...they are the main motor factors around here apart from GMF the rip off merchants...wanted 87 quid for a lmabda sensor for the megane...exactly the same brand that i got in euro's for 31 quid

only tested it in the garage on a few bits not actually on a stuck nut or bolt, but it heats the object up quickly and very hot

Sounds promising.Just been looking at the diy jobbies on a site, a lot cheaper than a purpose built one. Be a handy bit of kit if like us you own an L200!

yes sure not a problem I didnt do much to it really just brougth it and hooked it up to a power supply now its sat in the garage gathering dust somewhere lol

well, i am still waiting for my tin of plus gas to arrive form amazon, but as i was passing euro car parts earlier i popped in and bought a can of plus gas spray and anew tin of propane too...

thought i would give the plus gas a try so looked around the engine bay of the focus until i found a suitable siezed up bolt (didnt take long) and sprayed with plus gas...left it half an hour and sprayed again...another half an hour and it came out quite easilly...wasnt going to budge at all before being srpayed but after 2 doses it came out like a normal rusty bolt, a few tight spots and still quite stiff to turn but certianly easier than struggling trying to get heat in there and breaker bars etc

I had a seized spark plug on the freelander, I tried it hot, warm and cold with a ratchet and a short breaker bar and it wouldn't shift. Bought a helicoil kit just in case, sprayed plus Gas down the hole and left it for 5 mins. It came out like it was finger tight

I have so far dismantled 4 things that I had previously given up on due to rusty siezed bolts...this stuff is exceptional at freeing rusty bolts off

Yup it works way better than the more famous WD40.

Another cracking product is 'Heave-Ho'. Very rare to see it for sale though.
