plus gas- works like magic

got myself some plus gas a while ago and finally put it to work

28 year old car , never touched exhaust manifold nuts , soaked over night with a couple of applications , all nuts came undone

then tonight i tried it on some car door hinges , they have a press fitted hinge pin and have been squeaking for over a year , ive tried drenching them in all sorts of oil and lube , didnt touch it at all , then tonight a quick spray of plug gas and its silent lol

yes..penetrant for rusted bolts etc

Yes, comes in a blue can. It's a specialist penetrating fluid - it's no good for providing any sort of lasting lubrication but great at freeing things off.

will have to have a look for some...been looking for a good penetrating fluid for a while...usually use AC-90 as its 'free' from work...not very good though unless there is heat involved

Yes, comes in a blue can. It's a specialist penetrating fluid - it's no good for providing any sort of lasting lubrication but great at freeing things off.

A guy at my local booty sells plus-gas in aerosol cans for £4-00. I still have a couple of gallon cans in "stock" and i'v been retired 14 years, Use it sparingly on all sorts of tight /seized items, still the best in my opinion,

ive heard that the plus gas stuff was good before but i never tried it, iirc i have one on my watch list on the bay.
of late ive been road testing the atf and acetone mix and i use wd40 for a lot of jobs, least one being nit n bolt removal mind you, i think its a bit of a placebo most of the time altho it never hurts.
i had/have a bit left of pocket rocket here, someone else's attempt at a wd40, i didnt like it tbh.

Oxyacetylene every time Penetrating fluid works to a degree but snarled up painted-in rusted threads are often 'water tight' and don't let fluid pass through.

Just don't forget yourself and press the cutting lever..bye bye bolt head

Having worked in a few places where getting a hot work permit is akin to finding a solid gold unicorn that wee's beer then I still rate plus gas highly

Induction heater then I reckon...
