I'm messing around with sweat soldered plumbing joints for the first time, fortunately only on a temporary sink in a corridor while the kitchen is being done. I want to get it right as half the rest of the house will need some plumbing later on.
I've been using a cheap DIY propane/butane mix blowtorch which seems to discolour the pipework around the joint too much and doesn't work upsidedown. I'm guessing something like the Bernzomatic 7000 running propane should give a smaller more controllable flame. What do you guys use?
