Please recommend an affordable Security Camera setup

No I'm not runnng over BNC / co-ax - all the cameras are Cat5

Cheapest set up I could find is HikVision: DS-2CE76H0T-ITMFS(2.8mm) with the hik 4 channel DVR - works a treat.

well it's an old topic but as it's here and bumped to the top already

my brother just swapped some of his cameras to Ubiquiti cameras, quality is shockingly good, they're 'only' 8mp but better than any I or he had before, night vision is really really good

I've got a mix of dahua and reolink, anything from 8mp to 12mp, he had a mix dahua, reolink, hikevision and maybe some more - he bought a load of different ones to test them all out

I've already bought a bunch of reolink 12mp cameras for my house but I'm going to swap them all to Ubiquiti, will probably start swapping out some at work too

Ditto for Reolink, and adding Aqara to the mix.

At the slightly more professional (read more expensive, but still less than £100 a camera), the Omada/Vigi options are great.

Negative response to the spam-bomber about hikvision - not a credible option.
