what kind of plastic do they use on a motorcycle engine sliders?
ACETAL DELRIN PLASTIC POM NYLON ROD SHAFT BAR?
POLYETHYLENE High Density ROD Black Natural PE HDPE ?
ACETAL Rod Black Engineering Plastic Billet Round Bar?

I know nothing of these as I'm not an engineer.

It varies I guess. What I do know is that Delrin is a very good material for crash bungs. I've made some and err, tested them...

The usual black crash bungs I've seen look like black Acetal.

it seem's that they are all the same as far as abrasion goes.
maybe one is better at machining than the other?

Delrin is the DuPont tradename for Acetal (aka. POM). Same thing. It machines beautifully.

As Johnkay says - As far as a abrasion goes I should imagine the differences are negligible once it's scraping down the Tarmac at motorbike speeds
