Plaster board.

I have some plaster board that is pink on one side and grey on the other.

It has a label on that is ripped but seems to say packing only do not use..

Anyone know why this would be the case?

Is it just one sheet?
Could be that it is the top and bottom sheet from the delivery stack and so is subject to banding marks.

If it's pink one side has it got it's coating missing ?

It is the top and bottom sheet for delivery but don't understand why it says don't use....I don't need a full sheet anyway.

Its fire retardent but is possibly faulted and has been used as a packer / protection. Gyproc Fireline, Pink one side, Brown reverse side, one of over a range of 20 plasterbaords from british Gypsum

as already said pink is fireboard it also comes in different thickness as well and its no fun putting up 8x4s x 3/4" thick the 6x4s was ok but also comes in 1/2" sizes

all depends on what hr your needing between rooms top of staircase its double thickness
