Work is quiet so I have made myself a ceiling mounted lamp for the kitchen newly renovated kitchen.
In Typical Chunkular style it is a bit of a lump of a thing. No hints until it's up, but weighs a fair bit.
it mounts via a hoop made of flat strip with four fixing points equidistant around the circumference.
Ceiling was boarded and plastered by professionals not long ago' over board and lovely artex, They did a good job of it.
What are the best fixings to use? I have loads of the cast zinc screw in jobbies and have never had a problem using them on walls in the past, are they any good on a ceiling?
I cant put all the screws into joists even if I can find them as it has to be centrally mounted.
I saw an ad recently that looked perfect but forget where and what it was.
I think looked like a rawl plug and pulls into a flat disc on the inside of the join.
Possibly these https://www.screwfix.com/p/fischer-...2FDa7XqdLNpAHAViv3oaAjePEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
