welcome to the forum sam, the question posed was what eye protection do users wear when operating there plasma cutters, there are a lot of the guys on here myself included that own and operate plasma cutters and I was curious as to what protection was used.

im sure once you have a look around the forum you will find it a wealth of knowledge and information...

i havent got a plasma cutter as of yet but did buy a mask for welding but also considered other jobs with using the mask

heres the one i got but i get a few uses out of one mask mig, arc, grinding mode. plasma cutter and a cheater lense can be installed as well i prefer an internal switch to switch between low din and high din of shades

they look alright skotl, im using gas goggles at the mo but may treat myself.. ive given up with the bolle trackers as they fog up constantly...

Hypertherm makes one

Personally I prefer to use my Speedglas 9100FX Adflo set in shade 5. Especially after I managed to destroy a particle filter in one hour of plasma cutting steel and aluminum in a poorly ventilated area. Usually these filters last me months of welding

Well, why not get a normal welding helmet with a flip front and put a shade 5 lens in it.
Also get a 3M 7500 series (or similar respirator) and you are set.

Can't find the part shaded ones but this is an option, just replace the visor with the CV84AG green visor?.

I don't see why not.
Still I would prefer the cheapo welding helmet solution since you can also use it for grinding.
Something like this http://www.rapidwelding.com/dynamic/DisplayItem.aspx?c=E1S908&zl=2 would cost the same money and you can just change the outer lens when it eventually gets scratched. With the grinding shield you will have to toss the whole shield.

Looks OK, when the visor gets scratched you can replace it while keeping the headband.
