plasma cutter not cutting its recommended clean cut. What's wrong?.

I found the machine on a dealer site first (until I changed my VPN) and it was original price 2700 or so, discounted to 300 approx.
Unless it was a used machine, or closeout, I wonder if they are dumping the machine
as it is not living up to the stated capacities.

Indeed. So, assuming the supply can provide sufficient amps (and I presume it can, if the OP was getting that originally) then that's not the problem.

Gotta say that, given this thread and the OP's other one about compressors, it seems most likely that there's something up with the unit itself - as it's still under warranty, I'd be starting with the supplier.

I have contacted the supplier Brookside welding supplies and they passed my email to Les Ford at tecarc, he did'nt seem to know the problem, But as soon as i mentioned whether the supplier takes it back under warranty or do i send it back to tecarc. I have not heard a word back from Les for a week.

Bear in mind your contract is with the supplier so don't let them fob you off to the manufacturer. I'd contact Brookside and ask them to commence the warranty return process.

Thanks. have contacted brookside and they have told me if i can box it up, they will arrange collection back to the manufacturer. Lucky I kept the box it came in new.

Remember - these days - with so much time being spent on red tape there is often little time available for excellent customer service. Just because Oxford have been a bit slow doesn't mean they are a bad company. So many staff these days have a couldn't care less attitude as well - and sacking people is harder than ever without getting stung!
