Good afternoon all, 'tis nearly the end of my holidays and I had been meaning to replace the wooden gate, a blond labrador destroyed last year with a replacement. Unfortunately my 'carp and try' skills are really unimpressive, so a month ago I knocked up a rectangle in box section and until yesterday it had stayed like that. However following discussions with my three year old, we designed a new gate.
It's not the best welding in the world, in fact its mediocre, but I particuarly enjoyed the creating the trees and clouds with the plasma, quite difficult to be accurate when drawing free hand.
I thought it might also make a change from the 'broken plasma cutter' threads in this section.
The hills are six mm sheet, the clouds and everything else is some 'under two mm' stuff I had lying around so it's just spot tacked together and then smothered in loads of yellow paint, if it wasn't done today then god knows when.
Quite suprising how long these things take to build, even when you try to get everything straight and it comes out squiffy.
