Web site, Farcebook. Why not take some of your stuff to Autojumbles, model eng shows etc, I feel its a limited market, I would also ask Double Boost if he would do a video of how to assemble them as then it will be on Youtube which could be linked to you for sales

Advertising is normally necessary for selling products as opposed to selling a service when word of mouth and people actively looking for you work nicely.
Nobody is going to be looking for a product if they dont know it exists or dont know that they want/need it yet.
For the sort of stuff you describe targeted adverts on Facebook would be a good start if you have the budget.
Those are the sort of thing that pop up in your Facebook feed when you have been looking at welding stuff on google so yoynare likely to be marketing to the kind of people who have both the equipment and the interest to put your product together.
It can be expensive but the statistics they feed back to you are pretty comprehensive and you can see which trigger words and types of sites people are using and it will link those with any enquiries you get so you can then use your budget more effectively.
Shows are another option, get a few examples made up and some flyers printed and book a stand at a car restoration show or something like that.
The only problem is unless you have a very unique product a lot of people will take the flyer then never do any more about it. If you can afford to take the stock with you you could do well with direct sales but you may well need to invest in a card machine to do any serious turnover.
If you have a really low budget then somewhere like ebay will get you the most views. Something like a welding table kit will get searched for a lot.
Something like a mig torch holder will just get lost in the hundreds of listings of them at £5 or less each.
Ebay is very good for large exposure but it's also very easy for the buyers to compare prices so you are going to either need the best design on there or be prepared to fight against every other seller to see who will take the least money for the same sort of item.

The above is true - but topping up your client base with a few new customers is not a bad thing. I have been trading for over thirty years - some of my customers actually get old and die. Some move away. A bit of new blood is not a bad thing!
I have given this allot of thought over the years - and to be honest - it is not a bad thing to throw a few quotes out to customers you have not dealt with before. If these customers are responding to advertising and ringing about - it gives you some idea if you have got your pricing structure right. If you are too expensive or too cheap. I often ask a new customer who is ringing round "what is the price I have to beat or match". Sometimes - this works in my favour.
If you don't advertise - don't do allot of pricing - just deal with the same customers - you can get very stale price wise. If you know what I am weekly trying to say.
Best way to be competitive is to price jobs up and see if you get them.
Lots of businesses - ride on reputation - word of mouth - (and sadly sometimes there ego as well). Topping up a busy week of existing customer work - with a few jobs from new customers is where you wanna be.

The first thing to do is to get yourself a simple website that looks good and works. Need to sort out shipping and PayPal transactions so it is straightforward for users to actually buy stuff. Use a courier who will ship to the whole of the UK without charging you the earth, you will get orders from people North of central Scotland and they won't be happy if you decide you won't send stuff to them.
Then get some local help in producing some Youtube videos of you making up kits onto a channel, after that start sending some kits out to some of the UK based Youtubers and they might well do the selling for you. I can't see shows making any decent money for the investment required. Selling online far more likely to bring profit than shows and local adverts. Your target market are using Youtube for welding practice tips and tricks - maybe Facebook adverts would work but I would spend the money getting your website right first and word online will hopefully help sell your products. One website tip make sure you can alter the website yourself other wise it will cost money for every change

Join retro rides and drop an advert on the for sale section, plenty of welders do not always have the time to make things from scratch so kit for items might go well.
