I want to make a temporary "garage" for my Marlin Roadster as it's going on the patio until next years as too many other things to go before I can get round to rebuilding it (fitting 1275cc Sprite engine & box, deeper suicide doors with angled A posts etc)
I've a load of new 25mm conduit, along with bender and threading dies, so intend making a frame out of that which Correx can be attached with cable ties, edges Gaffer taped and then tarp over the lot.
Ultimately I'll have a proper flexible cover made so it can be folded but in mean time it's just for storage of rolling chassis and all the loose fibreglass body panels.
The idea is simple - basically a "pram hood" type frame.
Thing I'm having trouble working out is suitable pivots for the base to the conduit loops.
I don't want anything welded onto the loops nor do I want to drill though the tube - even if end flattened.
Any suggestions for a pivot ?
Only thing I can come up with is a coupler with piece of angle welded to it.
