Just stripped an old Honda G50 stationary engine. Seized, no oil in the sump, just a bit of mayonaise? Was driving a water pump over 20 yrs ago, when it quit. Now, surprisingly, most of it is OK. Split the engine and the crank ball bearings and the big end needles are fine. Had to fill the top of the bore with releasing oil mix and leave it for a couple of days, then gently tap the piston down and out.
The rings are stuck in the grooves, not easily teased out, so I will heat it in the oven, then put it in releasing mix. Any thoughts on that? The piston will tidy up where it picked up and seized. Bore will get a gentle hone.
Second question: I have a set of rings for a 70m bore (supplier's mistake for 75mm) so what is the opinion about fitting them to a 69mm bore? Obviously need to trim them by 3mm in length and they are compressed slightly more, but?

This part of the barn find gear from next door, I still have to decide on the cultivator lurking there...
