pir security lights- better than diy store ?

right got a ip65 sensor on its way , noticed many are not rated so high so maybe it will be more durable

right the sensor has arrived without instructions ...any ideas folks

or are they all the same and copy something off google? does my earth wire just pass thru ?

The only time I have had a DIY store PIR light fail was due to a Muppet not ensuring the eal was fitted correctly and water got in.

I recently upgraded In laws halogen lights to LED. I fitted the original ones back in 1992. The only issue was the paint.

I would look into what is making the lights fail.

i knew you tight but fitting an electric eal to power your light is a bit OTT

Tight? I don't even squeak.
Even now I have the dog and the 2 gerbils on a treadmill generator to power the lap top.
I would post pictures, as a mechanical engineer, you know I am right.

Same as above I've only brought cheap ones and never had any probs bar the bulb blowing seems your just unlucky
