Ok F/J I think we are talking at x purposes, (either that or I am stupid) what I want to know is when you run your stick cap welds you obviously weave them as it looks like a  figure 8 on its side, what I really....really....really....(LoL) want to know is what is the weave motion that you use, is it A) The upside down V method or sometimes called christmas tree, B) a figure of 8 weave, or just weave the torch/stick from right to left of the weld run. If you go back to MY last post you will see a pic of one of you pipe capping runs, this is exactly what I am talking about....

 . sean  thats the thing getting consistency, somewhere along the line everything sort of clicks and it becomes second nature, im not saying there isn,t a lot of concentration needed, its just a case of doing what you did last time, unless of course the last one looked like s!! t.
