pipe vice clean up

I shall give the a Going over with the wire wheel tomorrow.

It's had a Going over with the wire wheel decreased and now primed. I gave the teeth a wee file sharpen them up. Just quenched the jaws and moving parts in oil.

What happened there ?

When I have had that on a pipe vise. It was contamination seeping out of the metal.

A good clean with meths sorted one out.
The other was cleaned with fire. Hit with a wire brush. Then painted.

I think the wire wheel closed the grain of the metal. Polished if you like. So the paint didn't have a key to stick too.

Wired it off and keyed it up with some sand paper this time.

It's done. Ready to work now.
