Grabbed a tube of this whilst I was in Screwfix earlier, as it said it can be used for bonding any material. It was only later when I read the tube & noted mention of one surface needing to be porous. So, anyone tried it, & any possibility that it may work/cure if both surfaces are non-porous?

The purpose I had for it was to lather some on a plastic insert holding a nut in a metal tube. The plastic insert has snapped, allowing the nut to come out of the tube. Just wanted something a bit grippier, & more flexible than, glue. Any chance it may work for that application?

there's lots of products on the market tec 7 or gorilla products are good but expensive pink grips horrible stuff and hardly works

I have successfully used it to bond a car window in and it never fell out, I am a big fan of it.

I remember trying to stick the sole of my boot back on with the stuff when I was at work and it never worked.

Even green grip fill is a bit iffy. Serves a purpose but doesn't have great grab when sticking skirtings etc on a wall.
Sticks like sh*t is ten times better.

Used boxes of the stuff when I was building CIT vehicles.

General building stiff, I use Stixall mostly nowadays.

I'd forgotten about CT1. I think I still have an unopened tube of that knocking about somewhere.

A coachbuilders I worked at, I glued extruded Aluminium tracking floor in in vans. In testing they glued a floor into a merc sprinter lwb van, and hung it from the tracking, to see if it would debond, it didn’t budge. So they tried to pull the tracking off the van floor. Ended up peeling the van floor from the tracking. Strong stuff indeed

I was confused for a while, I thought Pink Grip was a euphemism for the five fingered widow. Known to stick bedsheets together.

Most products from Soudal seem to work great, they have a high tack adhesive in a tube and they sell it in Screwfix.

As a general purpose adhesive I get on well with Clearfix, used it on various furniture and building stuff and even on a patch on the bottom of my pool liner and that's still holding 2 years later.
