can anyone point me in the right direction i need a hand powered pinch roller for making gate arches. will mainly be used for 1" hollow box section but could need to go thicker. cheers
hi, they are usually quite hard to find, so most folk make their own, have a search on the forum for ideas from peoples home made ones, sam on the forum actually makes them and sells them, probably worth a pm
click on "members list" at the top of the page and go under the s section, its just sam with no numbers after it, when you find him click on "send a private message"
I think this is the tread you are talking about if you just click sams name at the top of the page you will get a drop-down box one of the choices will be to send a private message just follow that

Hi this is the one l made, the only thing lm going to change on it(when l get around to it)is take the bottom 2 rollers off and machine a radius and a square out so it holds box section and round bar when rolling it,the now it wonders and rolling tube it puts a flat on it.
Hi it cost about £40 for the bearings and 3 meter of sparky condute, the metal was all stock from my work and the rollers are track pins off some sort of caterpillar dozzer l mooched,l've got a lathe so l machined the bore's to take the bearings and the wee jack l had kicking around, its very impresive when you see it in action and makes arches and rings no bother.
