are these just pressed into the quill?

mine came out earlier and i just tapped it back home seems fine now.

looks like they just get drifted out through the quill? is that correct?

some chucks are just pressed on to a taper on the spindle direct some are fitted with a morse taper sleeve and can be ejected. if its coming loose and direct on to the spindle clean it up with emery cloth and a spot of Loctite dabbed on and tap chuck in with a hide hammer or a block of wood and hammer

just pressed in i think, I was drilling a gas bottle and the bit got stuck in the bottle weight of the bottle pulled it out the quill
