I have an old 1970 Whitecote pillar drill that I think needs a new capacitor. I think it has been changed sometime in the past as it only just fits in the holder/cover.
The existing one works but every so often causes the house RCD to trip. The existing one says it's 150Mfd 110v ? The 150 Mfd is stated on the drills data badge but the drill runs on 240v
I can find plenty of 150Mfd by 240v but not many 150Mfd by 110v.
Can I use a 150Mfd by 240v capacitor?
Cheers Pete
