Hey mate, I’ve got a Tetrix 230 AC/DC that I have apart on my work bench and refurbishing, R27 on the TRF5 PCB looks to be a 10 ohm resistor (Brown, Black, Black, Gold). So hard to get a good photo.

Also, would you have a copy of the English service manual you could send my way?

Also, if you need any help trying to figure this out, I’ll do my best. Repasting with heat sink compound is no big deal, pretty straightforward really. Dow Corning 340 should do the trick:

Yo, that’s really helpful but I sent the machine off a few weeks ago to get someone to look at it who knows a little more.

I did take the other board off and repasted it back on with no luck. I’m just going to pay the bill when it returns from the shop and be done with it (if they can fix it)

I did find an English version of the manual online somewhere in deepest depths of the internet, I’ll see if I can find it in my history and post it here.

I’ll let everyone know if it comes back fixed, I’m currently 5050 as to wether it’s actually been sent away to be fixed yet and if it has if it can even be fixed for a reasonable price!

Apparently it’s going to cost £1500 to fix due to dead IGBT’s or something.

I’m told I broke it by changing that chip.
