Running linked brakes is doable, but to pass the msva you would need to lck the bias valve so It can only be adjusted with tools. Why not with forward controls ? I was planning on running right foot brake biased front and rear , left foot clutch with a hand shift , harley suicide shift style against the tank

The hand change on the side of the tank may present an issue passing the MSVA as itll stick out with the potential to maim a rider in the event of a head on smash, even your fuel cap needs to be less than 10mm and rounded edges.
This has a foot clutch, and gears are changed using a klicktronic. Front and rear brakes are maintained separatly, having ridden a trike with linked brakes I hated it.

The linked brakes, didnt inspire me with confidence, but also separate brakes have their uses in certain situations.
With beetle based trikes gear change is often under the leg, reliants, are frequently central, but how many have actually been through an MSVA. You can build a linkage to bring it out the side, or just a long bent gear lever.
If you want minimilasist bars exile style, you use an internal throttle, where the cable runs inside the bars and around an internal spiral. You can also do the same with the clutch, operating a remote hydraulic reservoir. Minimal switches bush button through relays are available but doubt you could get all the options to pass the MSVA.
But Id suggest you use standard bike controls, including switch gear, pass the MSVA and then modify to your taste.
I know of at least one very well home built reliant that has a suicide gearchange out the side. You can put a big nob on it, even a ring around it to pass the msva. Linked brakes would work, but I accept that once set up for a dry road you might have issues on a wet surface and vice versa. It's not as if you can have a linked apportioning valve...
Maybe set it up to be ideal in the wet?
View attachment 234522 Here you go - from mankymonkey forum, a really well built msva'd trike:
I started a Reliant trike in the 70’s, with a Jag rear axle and home made springer front end. It never got finished, building outside at my dads place was such a pain, enthusiasm faded quickly once ‘all the hard work’ was done.
Thought you’d put a massive sissy bar on it until my eyes focussed, thank god.
Looking at your pictures again, those forks look like they are from a dirt bike, so will have lots of travel, have you allowed for this in your frame base rail ride height!
Possibly or pre load them with a spacer to reduce available travel.I'm not sure what they are from to be fair there is a bit of travel but not massive amounts, if there was too much can I use different internals to stiffen them ?
