Before lockdown and all the uncertainty with everybody panic buying and the lowering of fuel prices we topped both our cars up so if there was a fuel shortage and we needed to go anywhere we'd be covered (other half is a key worker).
One car has been used and fuel is down to a quarter, our other car hasn't been driven much other than for the odd run out to keep it moving, it's a very efficient car and uses very little fuel so takes a while to empty the tank at the best of times.
I imagine a lot of people are in the same situation with cars parked up at home.
I know fuel left in carb engines can cause problems, what about modern fuel injection or is it months and months before issues start to arise?
I'm not too fussed we'll just start using the other one but struck me there could be a fair few cars with issues in the not too distant future.
