Petrol Disc Cutters

How many of you guys have a petrol disc cutter in your tool collection?

We have a Stihl TS 400 and a Stihl TS 410 like this http://www.stihl.co.uk/ts410/home.htm

What an exellent tool these are they will cut through an rsj with no problem!

I have a TS400. A bit of a butchers tool really!
We tend to use it when patching tarmac around post holes or loosing a bit of the bottom of a post when digging gets hard!

Dont own one but have used a partner saw not sure what model , used it to cut some channels out of concrete . i was expecting to have to struggle with a 9" angle grinder . the petrol saw made it light work in comparrison .!

I have the old TS 350, always in the van "just in case", years ago I turned an adapter up , so used 12inch discs can used again on the 9 inch grinder, I also have a 1 "drive petrol impact gun always on board, great for rawl bolts

I have a Makita DPC6410. Brother has the 6400 (earlier) version. 95% of the time though it's for cutting bricks and blocks, so is normally sporting a diamond blade.

I think it's because we use Makitas, and every Stihl I've ever used was a pig to start, that I don't actually like them.

Looked after though I doubt there's much in it though. It's just what you get used to makes the alternative feel odd.

we ve still ts400 best saw we have ever owned used to have two partners k650 one blew an engine and the other one started playing up so sold it we will never go back we only use it to cut briks/block or cut out conctere paths for conservatories to put the footing in and ect.

use mine for cutting metal quicker than mechanical hacksaw cut scaffold poles angle bar anything use stone blades for metal as i have about 100 of them . can cut quite acurate with them as well

i`ve only used the Stihl TS400 which i found very easy to use. only used it to make a few window openings bigger to fit the new windows in
