You are right of course. I even have a tank in a locked shed. Trouble is I have spent years procrastinating about the seal for the outlet at the bottom. So its sat there empty and unfilled!

Id suggest to avoid upsetting the environment agency a bunded tank. Test your tank with water, then just pump it out, and dispose of accordingly.
Yes but Used not to fill up. Based on historic behaviour (cash flow), attacks on fuel tanks, extra weight, mpg etc etc but my Dad insists on giving me petrol money and I have learnt not to argue with Dad.
So on the basis I "need" to go to his to sort his legs and back 4 days a week it makes sense to keep it full. Apart from that i went past a place where it was £1.80 and up the road where its usually 1 or 2 pence above their price, it was £1.94.
Is that a rule now? This is single skinned and in good condition. I didn't think they were banned? It's just the pump outlet at the bottom was weepy so I didn't trust it and can't figure out what I need to redo it. It's like an Essex flange is needed or similar with fuel resistant seals .

Post a picture of the weeping area. I went bunded for both my heating oil and diesel tank, as I know someone who had to foot the bill for a clean up post spill.

Our local Z fuel stop on State Highway 1 (was Shell until Shell got bought out here in NZ) has diesel at 4 dollars a litre.
It was under 2 bucks before Trump... oh, don't get me started - though at discount places you could get it for $1.50 - 75p to you lot.
Diesel is more than petrol now - though has always been less because there's far less tax on diesel than on petrol.
We pay Road User Charges for diesel vehicles - the bigger the vehicle, the more you pay for the RUC sticker on your windscreen.
Looks like diesel is scarcer though so the price is through the roof.
