Ive got a bunch of paraffin lamps.. perfect in a power cut. Rayburn cooks and does hot water (mustnt let the tank get too hot) and the log fire keeps the lounge warm. The flames are better than tv anyway.

That’s the same or very similar to what I had. It was great in my garage, warmed the place as well.

Sainsbury's not busy this morning, but 155.9 for petrol. I came away from Tesco at 154.9 thinking "I'm not paying that, Sainsbury's will be cheaper", and they weren't. Tesco are usually 1-2p higher.

Apparently even though they have plenty of stock the supermarkets are struggling to keep up with deliveries as all the empty heads are heading to them for their panic buying.

I admit I've swapped from using the usually expensive local garage to the Asda 24 hr automated pumps a slight diversion on the way into work - 5.30am the other day, it was busier than I was expecting - three of us on the eight pumps. If I filled from empty light on, it makes a 16 quid difference at the moment.

There will no doubt be a range of reasons and reasoning, many are panic buying though due to social media rumours.
I suppose it makes sense when you consider the number of whoppers who're into chemtrails, weather control,lizard people, microchips in vaccines etc. If you're all in for that, then believing what Janice from Tipton was saying about having seen a tanker disappearing underground for the elites to use after the planned zombie apocalypse isn't much of a leap.

156.9 when I filled up today. They had run out of pump out of order notices so we're tying rubbish sacks to them instead. Kiosk pay only. One bloke there was trying to fill up his motorhome, was on his third session due to limit. Shudder to think what his total bill was.

I not got problem with them (the masses) - in general - they being - "misled" - "misdirected" - "used"..... (possibly even lied to ...?)

We’ve got a ferry crossing booked to France at the end of the month, we’re intending to drive through France & down into Spain. I think due to the situation, our trip is unlikely to go ahead unless we can guarantee fuel, luckily we have booked a flexy ticket, so can postpone it until the autumn if need be.
I am not bothered about direction to be honest as they are often wrong. But i just wish there was a consequence for lying....
