I filled Saturday at 126p/L as I knew it would go up, but I expected the rise to be far steeper.
The usual places have now jumped upto 129-133P/L however the two local Sainsburys are still showing 126.
Wanted to get 5L in a jerry can, for the GX460, went to the Sainsburys, long long queues. Half the pumps were out of diesel too!

You can store 3501 litres of Derv at home - anymore and you into COPSR regs.
Petrol is 30 ltrs as you say above.
"COPSR also requires any business that stores more than 201 litres of diesel to obtain an oil storage certificate from their local council. "
I wonder how 22 litres of E10 2 star and 22 litres of E10 two star two stroke mix with fuel preserver are classed ?You can store 3501 litres of Derv at home - anymore and you into COPSR regs.

Burtonwood services M62, diesel is 165.9, that’s 29 p /lt dearer than Asda. 5 or 10p I could understand but almost 30, that’s ridiculous.

Prices round here haven't moved, and it was only £1.51 for diesel when it was $115 a barrel.
and if it gets really bad, friend has bowsers for the tractors with the finest cherry aid in them.

13 million barrels per day sound like huge quantities, but putting that in perspective a VLCC, very large crude carrier, carries about 2 million barrels, or 300000 ish tons. So thats 6.5 tankers a day, many of which turn left out the gulf heading to the far east.
With drill baby drill and the lot before the Americas, and the African producers have increased out put so OPEC and the middle east has a lower impact on price than it had back in the 70s and 80s. I think its still a bit early post the Trumpsters meddling to see any great benefits from Venezuelan crude in the markets just yet.
Prices are driven by fear of loss of supply, hence why the Korean Markets took a battering. LNG is the bigger worry in the short term. The oil priduction shutting down is precautionary as they lack the storage to keep going with reduced tanker loadings. A fairly mild winter and heading into spring also reduces the demand or the fear factor too.
Seem to remember a tax driver during the fuel distribution centers blockade (last century? When I owned my Dolomite Sprint anyway - left in Manchester Airport car park with a full tank of fuel while I was working in Denmark - came back to the blockade and me being the fastest car on the M62 . . ) - filled a wheelie bin in his first floor flat with unleaded - only found out it was leaking when the occupant downstairs complained of something dripping through the ceiling and a funny smell.

I think my most economical car is my Caterham - everything else does somewhere between 12 and 24 mpg. Might soon be a good time to buy another gas guzzler

Luckily Mrs Robo filled up the day before it kicked off and it will be a couple of months before I need to fill up, also have a few litres in jerry cans for the stable genny which doesn't get much use now there's more daylight.

Went up here very quickly ...my local GO normally cheapest around at about 1.33 diesel ...£1.38 but long queues so paid £1.43 at local BP and filled up £98.00 ..my first car cost me £50 !!
