Is it ok to leave a heatsink in situ indefinitely? In some cases, I like to use a piece of ali' as a heatsink for ease of welding
If I'm to fix it behind a section where it'll be impossible to get it out after welding, is that likely to cause any issue or reaction....
...and ('sub question') would the use of a Weldable primer prevent said reaction if so.
An aside... I've just tried a 'Weld Through Primer' for the first time, by the way, and am most impressed with it.
