Perkins 403 engine expert pls

Hi folks,
Are there any perkins experts here.?
My 403C-11 just died of a cracked block.
I haven’t found a replacement on google yet but have found 403D engines.
Does anyone know if the D series is a direct fit replacement for the 403C.?

We tried diperk in Peterborough for remanufactured engines. They were a little bit more expensive than a rebuild locally but very very helpful.

Saying that our rebuilt 404C-22 is burning oil, so perhaps a more expensive option would have been better.
