Any one know the rough costs of mild steel round hole perforated sheet - something like 2mm thick, 2 x 1m sheets, 8mm hole on a 16mm pitch.

Gotta get a price done tonight and forgot to ring last week ffs

Last ones I bought, From IMS, 2x 1 x 1.5 4mm hole 8mm pitch £68 each last Dec, that price was for a 2 off

Its for some infills between buildings. A bit fancy - I suggested lionweld - looks good if the smaller pattern is used.

We did a job a while ago, used Arco redman mesh, the stuff thats pressed together. Really lightweight, but looks like lionweld stuff.

Used in the cladding of this monstrosity aswell, the gaps you can see are the mesh.

That is a horrible looking car park. Looks like the sort of stuff they threw up in Sheffield in the 70's.
Can only fit to one side of the gap as well. Can't get in the gap to drill into the side of one of the buildings. and can't face fix.

Whats the building structure?
I did a load back along, made some clips that bolted on one side, then mesh 'hinged' on the clips and screwed to the wall the other side...

It is brick 'slips' 25mm thick, bonded to a cement particle board on an insulated board on a cold rolled frame. It's in Sheffield as it happens. Not far from that car park you did.

Only if i can get anywhere near the frame. I might let the mesh lap over the face of the building we are allowed to fix to to give a margin that we can use to fix into and that is hidden behind the mesh.
Then its a close-to-edge fixing through cheese/hobnobs and creme brulee.

Thought about knocking in some timber noggins then fixing into them...well its not a fixing is it...!

When we need to get a fix into a old wall made of stone and muck as most of the old properties are here, we knock a hole locally in the wall and fill it with concrete/rebar/and a plate which we feed thread bar through. We drill the cavity for rebar runners out into the surrounding wall too, a bit like dentists putting a anchor wire into a tooth root

A bit extreme but it never moves and Ive tried everything else to get a fixing and failed, when a 16" fischer fixing fails and draws out, you know your in unknown territory. There's just not enough solidity to use resin or anchors on a single stone element unless you fall lucky and need to get a fixing on the keystone...

Maybe the nice building owners might object to this treatment of their building mind

To the bottom left is the joint between two exposed beams. They are a design feature and run around the perimeter of the building - Horrible join there for all to see. - I should have got a picture lower down - 50mm + gap!!!
