Daily Mail, nasty sods, they well & truly stitched up a friend of my wife's when her husband committed suicide. They invented all sorts of lovers & scandal under the heading "a friend tells us" or "local rumours are" Never have a copy in the house since, nor ever likely to. The trouble is Joe Public thinks they are telling the truth, but it's anything to get a story.Well done uk manufacturing,& it’s staff.
Personally I blame the daily Mail for all the scaremongering, living in the past lol.

I agree scum of the Earth along with the Guardian who are the biggest hypocrites.
The FT is the best for *actual news* without 'who's been spotted wearing this' and all those crap 'opinion' articles.
Theres a difference to making and building something.
Bottom line as long as its supports British jobs and economy well done.
Just a shame a high proportion of Triumph is made in Thailand with three manufacturing plants plus die moulding and paint etc.
From what i can gather UK is head quarters and where the profits end up, better us than them. They do have an assembly area for certain models, R&D/Prototyping, produce the cam and crankshafts for all engines, thats it.
Think its safe to say what few companies we have left we are at the top of the game.
I do see stuff made all over the world, Germany built its reputation on robustness and quality now living on a foregone conclusion with the punches they pull.
You can’t moan about triumph being abroad when we have all sorts of car makers over here investing, knocking out some top motors, putting our 1970’s reputation of bangers into perspective,I mean cars for everyday folks to afford, not the prestige stuff we’ve always been renowned for.
I heard Triumph build the engines in the uk and the rest is done in Thailand. Pity they cannot do the lot in the uk though.
It was the Germans who bought the original triumph engineering co when the first collapsed in the 10’s or 20’s.True, but triumph is all that is left of a once huge industry, the british motorcycle. I know there are a few others, but none near the same scale.

Don’t know that much but heard on news it’s one of their most efficient factories.Doesn't the Nissan factory in Sunderland produce more cars than the whole Italian car industry? I'm sure I've heard that somewhere before...
