We had it before vaccination, daughter and grand daughter didn't get it, ffw to omicron, daughters partner got it they made no effort to keep apart, daughter is on a trial, still didn't get it, father in law got it, mother in law didn't, its just so bloody randomSo my 12 year old son, who is unvaccinated is Omnicron +ve following a saliva test last Tuesday.
Ok, he's alright, bit under the weather, loose bowels, some vomitting, and général lethargy.
Now, since all this, he's sleeping between me and wifie. 30 odd cm's at night.
Wife, daughter and I are fully vaccinated. Well we've all had two shots, not the third yet.
Everyday since he's been +ve we've been auto testing, and we're all -ve.
This strikes me as odd.
Unless two shots of vaccine makes you immune ?
Or is Omicron really not so bad ?
A lot of it is down to how long you’re in the vicinity of someone who has it, my mates friend is a virologist, he said it’s called viral load, if you’re living with them it’s very likely that you’ll get it, in my house it’s been all of us. If someone has just been visiting you’ve a better chance. Our neighbour’s daughter tested positive Tuesday last week, after she’d been round to see us both…
We self-isolated until yesterday then went to the local lab for a PCR, all clear thankfully
The rules are at the moment, even if you’re living with someone who has it you can go about your life as normal as long as you do an LFT on a daily basis.I don't know what to think.
Thanks folks for your replies.
My boss and his wife are at risk, so I took wednesday and thursday off work, not worth the risk.
Works quietly ranting I should have been at work, but I don't give a poo.
Rather everyone stays safe, frankly.
Over here, it's every two days. The rules are at the moment, even if you’re living with someone who has it you can go about your life as normal as long as you do an LFT on a daily basis.
He's alright thanks, kids seem fairly immune apparently.@Barking Mat hope your son is OK soon !
Ah I didn’t notice you were in France, just do your normal thing mate and be with your son, We didn’t tell my son we have covid, he’s only 8 and we didn’t want to stress him, as far as he’s concerned we all have a cold.Over here, it's every two days.
But seeing as he's +ve, and the lab even named his strain, daughter and I are testing daily.
He sleeps between wife and I so, the chances of not catching it off him ?
He's autistic, so explaining things isn't very easy.
To be honest , I normaly buy what ever is on sale at the time , in the bargain bin at the end of the Pretty Poly Tights Isle which is the main reason I go in for .Which Makeup do you thin would be best then? Lancome or just stick with Max Factor? She was only the Chemists daughter but... Well you get the rest!

I did everything I could to prevent spreading it to my family, I slept in a separate room, used a different toilet and shower, was constantly using anti bacterial wipes.
I think it’s the sneezing that probably spread it though, even using a handkerchief, I was sneezing a lot
Carrying on as normal, just loving having our noses raped on a daily basis.Ah I didn’t notice you were in France, just do your normal thing mate and be with your son, We didn’t tell my son we have covid, he’s only 8 and we didn’t want to stress him, as far as he’s concerned we all have a cold.
And that’s great, though from what I’m hearing from most households lately including mine with this Omicron variant it’s more unusual not for everyone to get it.Doesn't add up with our lot, they were sharing beds houses cooking food etc etc, brights they should have all had it.
Haha, you’re not suppose to shove the swab that far up your nose it comes out your mouthCarrying on as normal, just loving having our noses raped on a daily basis.
What fun...
Oh hell, over here you pick up a 7 pack of tests which if free of charge and do it yourselfThe district nurse pushed my legs together sat on my lap and rodded me yesterday, telling me to breathe normally...
I'm almost tempted to return.
Then I do call her 'naughty nurse'.
Granddaughters friend has it, family of 5 other 4 nada, its honestly luck of the draw. And that’s great, though from what I’m hearing from most households lately including mine with this Omicron variant it’s more unusual not for everyone to get it.

Same hear one of our girls got it in October and non of the other 5 of us did, friends report the same one in a. House of 4-5 people and yet they don’t get it, considering we have all been hiding under the bed for 2 years from the C monster can it really be “that” contagious?@Barking Mat That's a LFT.
I know two households that have had one member contract covid and the others haven't, so I don't think it is *that* unusual.
