My boss and his wife are at risk, so I took wednesday and thursday off work, not worth the risk.

Works quietly ranting I should have been at work, but I don't give a poo.

So my 12 year old son, who is unvaccinated is Omnicron +ve following a saliva test last Tuesday.

Ok, he's alright, bit under the weather, loose bowels, some vomitting, and général lethargy.

Now, since all this, he's sleeping between me and wifie. 30 odd cm's at night.

Wife, daughter and I are fully vaccinated. Well we've all had two shots, not the third yet.

Everyday since he's been +ve we've been auto testing, and we're all -ve.

This strikes me as odd.

Unless two shots of vaccine makes you immune ?

Or is Omicron really not so bad ?

We had it before vaccination, daughter and grand daughter didn't get it, ffw to omicron, daughters partner got it they made no effort to keep apart, daughter is on a trial, still didn't get it, father in law got it, mother in law didn't, its just so bloody random

Our neighbour’s daughter tested positive Tuesday last week, after she’d been round to see us both…

We self-isolated until yesterday then went to the local lab for a PCR, all clear thankfully

A lot of it is down to how long you’re in the vicinity of someone who has it, my mates friend is a virologist, he said it’s called viral load, if you’re living with them it’s very likely that you’ll get it, in my house it’s been all of us. If someone has just been visiting you’ve a better chance.
I did everything I could to prevent spreading it to my family, I slept in a separate room, used a different toilet and shower, was constantly using anti bacterial wipes.
I think it’s the sneezing that probably spread it though, even using a handkerchief, I was sneezing a lot

The rules are at the moment, even if you’re living with someone who has it you can go about your life as normal as long as you do an LFT on a daily basis.

Granddaughters friend has it, family of 5 other 4 nada, its honestly luck of the draw.

Did wonder if daughter maybe had it but had no symptoms but when she went on trial they test for it nope never had it or had it since.

Numbers in France were over 400k in a day so its def contagious

I know two households that have had one member contract covid and the others haven't, so I don't think it is *that* unusual.

Same hear one of our girls got it in October and non of the other 5 of us did, friends report the same one in a. House of 4-5 people and yet they don’t get it, considering we have all been hiding under the bed for 2 years from the C monster can it really be “that” contagious?
