Glad you got it sorted - my guess would be that the battery issue meant the pc didn’t boot so it didn’t cause a monitor issue, rather it just never got to the point of displaying anything.Too true, I knew the battery could cause issues but never a total no connection to the monitor.
The most annoying thing is the 'expert' called, fiddled and claimed the motherboard was dead, mentioning a few issues with a final 'not worth fixing mate'.
The battery was virtually free because I was given a few of them as thanks when I refused to charge for a small welding job and took less than 5 minutes to change on the board, reset the date and time in the bios and all back to normal.
