PC Case metal

Im planning on building a box for the postman to drop parcels in if im not in.
As i have a few old PC cases in the loft I thought the case may suffice. Then it got me pondering on the material used. Is it galv'd, powder coated etc?
Anyone used PC case metal in projects?
I will be using my Clarle 100EN with either 0.6 or 0.8mm wire and CO2.

I've used bits of P.C. cases to weld with. They're all different, but they all have some protection on them. The one I used had a zintech coating, easy to remove with a flap disc. Don't worry about removing too much as you are going to have to add your own protection any way.

As said, most of it is zintec. Get down to bare metal before you start about 25mm from any welds. Don't breathe any of the coating in though, it's zinc.
