Hi I am looking for drive rollers for Paton PSI 4-r wirefeed unit, but no luck. Specifically for 0,6 wire but have not seen any for sale, looked at official paton.ua and several Polish sites...
You might be interested about allweld.pl reply to my question: To be honest such answers are enough for me to run away.
Sounds like they may fit more than one type of feeder. If you put a photo and some dimensions up on here somebody might be able to suggest a match
In the next reply they said that they thought I already had the welder. I said no, I do not and since then no reply. Not good in my book.
One thing do before buying anything expensive is see if I can find a parts list for it and see how easy it is to get spares. I would agree with your method. If you want to run .6 wire in it it makes sense to buy a machine from a manufacturer that can easily supply you the right roller.
If that is a pulse welder I don't expect you will need to go down to .6 wire anyway. I have managed to weld sub mm thick sheet with 1mm wire no problems.
That sort of suggests that it comes with all three sizes - 0.8, 1.0 & 1.2mm rollers - to me, anyway. Hope you get this sorted - just getting the info is beginning to seem like quite a "job" in itself! All the Best, CJ
Yes, the Paton welder in question comes with three sets of rollers. That is clearly presented in the offer. I was after the replacement rollers: first 0.6 mm ones, which are not available at all, then asked if there are any replacement rollers available. Unfortunately no, for the time being at least.
I expect it would be easy enough to find ones that fit. I doubt they are making the rollers themselves. More to the point, if it does not have .6 rollers it probably does not have a synergic program for .6 either.
Paton machines do not have synergic lines, so there isn't a problem there. 0.6mm rollers will be available. The feed boxes they use are from China. Easily available on aliexpress
Well, if you can say so then you must have some internal influence? If so then suggest them that elementary wear parts like cap tubes, rollers, etc. should be separately available. Currently it has "sell and forget" smell on it. I am only expressing how it looks to me, less discriminate buyers might not care. Do you have experience with the PSI 4R feed unit? Anything particularly good or bad about it?
