usually a service by a 'suitably qualified person' is sufficient
not always though,so read the small print

Of course it’s not a U.K. dealer. I’ve identified the Paton VDI 200P as a Pulse MMA unit, and can get it from Amazon U.K. for £360 delivered supplied by Allweld Poland.
Allwelds price on their site is about the same, so no benefit going direct it seems and I’d lose the backing and returns of Amazon. YOUR WORDS .....
.
There are three versions out there: LED display, square corners - this is my versionHas anyone ordere from Paton directly?
Yes, as per link in my other post you referred to; from Paton's Polish operation. I think I'm right in saying that Masterweld is the Polish umbrella company for Paton's presence in Poland - and, effectively, Europe.
Did you pay postage on top?
Yes, it was 120PLN - circa £25 using DPD. Took less than a week to arrive, very (and I mean VERY) well packaged!
Can you confirm this model does the Pulse MMA?
Mine does, but mine (the VDI 200P) is the newer version with the LCD display - the previous version has the red LED type display. I think that @HughF has the previous version so perhaps he is better placed to confirm his has pulse.
I can give you the email address for the chap I dealt with at Paton in Poland, message me if you like. He's been immensely helpful.
I really don’t know what axe you’re trying to grind here pal.
You seem to be desperate catch me out for some reason.
My words. Yes. So what?
If I’m paying half as much as a U.K. supplied machine I take a risk. Life is about risks, you should try it.
I ride motorcycles (and have owned 180mph motorcycles) not because they are well warranted, but because they are fun.
Your post above makes no sense, and adds nothing to the discussion.
No need for the tantrums....this is not the site for throwing tantrums....we try to help
Any chance of a link to the power source.and suitcase feeder you mention, even a PM soIt's excellent - I have two feeders for it now, my suitcase feeder with a 4 roll drive system that us currently being used to build a digger bucket with 1.2mm dual shield & a modified cebora JawFeed that I usually leave setup with CuSi3 for bodywork.
They really are an excellent little power source, and the newer ones with the improved mechanical design and LCD screen look to be even better.
Oh dearSome people do. Others seem content to nitpick and devalue others’ judgements.

I build my own feeders so I can't link to those. However the power source is this one:Any chance of a link to the power source.and suitcase feeder you mention, even a PM so
no rules get broke.
Thanks
Thanks Hugh.I build my own feeders so I can't link to those. However the power source is this one:

That's the latest model, might be cheaper from other eBay sellers, that's just the first one I found on eBay.
They are a cc/CV machine.Thanks Hugh.
Any idea if this unit is CV, or is just CC for the stick tig and mig.
Dou you buy a feeder and mod it, I think Paton make feeders so will check
That.
I see Butters have a 110 volt feeder, just need to add the power source and gas,
think it’s 900.00 euro though.
Would be nice if someone did an Arduino board setup to connect to the transformerThey are a cc/CV machine.
I built my feeder from parts, I built a 110-24 power supply and used a DC pwm board for speed control. 24v opto isolated relay board driven off the torch switch controls gas solenoid, wire feed motor and a third relay that switches the control wiring back to the power source. All pretty simple stuff.
