hya guys and girls, after a masive debate about what machine to buy last year, i was really torn between the esab reble and the fronious trans steel welding multi process welding plants each have there pros and cons. But after long convorsations with @HughF and a few others who had ran the other welding plants i borrowed hughs paton with his custom suitcase wire feeder for a few days, i was that impressed i bought one.
ive owned my plant since december last year and am the owner of the paton 250 dc mma,tig,mig/mag welder,
now ive not ran the dc tig which i belive to be lift arc but i am lead to belive it has pulse on all processes athough i have no use for that feature just yet.
so far ive ran 2.5 3.2 welding rods 6013,7018,309l,8018 in all positions welded digger buckets shears skips and all sorts of fun stuff that comes my way you can check out what ive welded with it on instagram karma_fabrication.
i have run my plant of a 16 amp supply but have ran it of a 13 amp plug
16 amp 3.2 130 amps
16 amp 28 volts mag
16 amp 25 volts mag
13 amp 2.5 90 amps
13 amps 19.5 volts mig
although i only have the polish instructions i do have a version in british
it comes in a very high quality case
and the stick welding acessorys are very well made not like other cheap stuff on the market
this is me messing about using .8 er70-6 wire 28 volts on 10 mm plate i did get some spater didnt have my wire set quite right but its just to show case what the machine is capable of (note my wire feeder is custome made) i sadly cant vouch for the paton own wire feeder but from the build quality of the machine i would say it would be very well made.
i will edit it a little more better this is just a rough review i will do more of the mig tig and stick features when i get a chance.
great machine hope you guys like the demo
cheers for your time
