patchy black

hi
I have just sprayed the bottom half of a door after trying to get rid of some rust. I used base black aerosol 3 coats 5 mins apart after leaving for an hour I sprayed 2 clear laquer coats 5 mins between I hav'nt polished yet but it looks patchy. so my question is how should it look?

it should not look patchy ,you dont have enough paint coverage on .flat and repaint.

As PP has said,you have dry areas where there is not enough paint coverage,flat and re paint .
