Purchased a 2nd hand 2nd fix to do a few jobs it worked ok on soft wood when i picked it up but on harder stuff the brads were bending in half as they entered the wood. Then a couple fired out of the magazine! hopefully a clean will sort it but I am not so sure.

There are no o rings on this model from what I can see and read. I am going to strip and clean it this week and see what is what

it has split metal piston rigs yes but I do not see a rubber O ring are you sure?

nope only piston rings on this model, got the 2 nails out of the mag I will strip it down more this week and clean it throughly and see if it works

Last time I saw pins come out the front of the magazine it was because they were too short

Below about 25mm I think it is you need to use an adapter/spacer thing that you shove up the magazine

You do Indeed I read that somewhere also. These pins were 60mm though. They fired ok into soft wood but when I tried it on some ply they bent in half as they entered the material then came out of the magazine.

Come to think of it I think I've also had similar problems when I put some 18g pins in my 16g im65not that I would accuse you of making the same mistake though

Because the pins are smaller the firing pin sometimes tries to fire two at once, making the lower one come out the front of the magazine

They were the correct pins, I wish it was so simple lol, these pins made their own exit hole in the magazine!
